Outfitting your cabin for easy coming and going!

Here's a wonderful selection of comfortable moccasins and slippers perfect for lodge living!

We have a set of cabin clothes that stay at our lodge. We have a washer and dryer, which makes this easier to manage but I've known people who have done it without this luxury.

What a feeling to be able to jump in the car and go - for a weekend, for a week, maybe even longer - without having to pack your bags! I don't even need to pack a toothbrush!

The lifestyle is different so the clothing you wear may be more casual. And perhaps less fashion conscious. Your needs will also depend somewhat on your climate but, nevertheless, you will need some basics. Here's a guide to outfitting your cabin closet.

BTW, you can use this as an opportunity to clean out your city closet.

For Women:

	2 pairs of pants or jeans		2 pairs of shorts
	1 pair of sweat pants		3 short sleeve shirts
	2 tank tops		2 long sleeve shirts
	1 sweater		1 sweatshirt or fleece
	4 pairs of underwear		2 bras
	1 bathing suit (if you spend a lot of time in or on the water you will need more)		3 pairs of socks
	2 pairs of pajamas		1 housecoat
	1 windbreaker		1 warm jacket
	1 hat		1 pair of sneakers
	1 pair of sandals		1 pair of slippers

Add other items based on your personal preferences

For men:

	2 pairs of pants or jeans		2 pairs of shorts
	1 pair of sweat pants		4 short sleeve shirts or t-shirts
	2 long sleeve shirts		1 sweater
	1 bathing suit (if you spend a lot of time in or on the water you will need more)		3 pairs of socks
	1 - 2 pairs of pajamas		1 housecoat
	1 windbreaker		1 warm jacket
	1 hat or cap		1 pair of sneakers
	1 pair of sandals		1 pair of slippers
	1 pair of work boots (optional)

For the children

My daughter leaves clothing at our lodge for the children too. They grow so quickly you will have to update each year. But for each season, you can follow the same general guidelines as for adults - maybe increase the quantities.
