A life long pursuit - or a new hobby

Maybe you've been fishing since you were a child, learning at your father's knee. Or perhaps (like us) it's a more recent passion you've picked up. Regardless, there is no question that fishing offers everything from a laid-back, relaxing pastime to a highly competitive endeavor. From a quiet time early in the morning alone in a canoe, to deep sea fishing from a large motor launch, it's a pastime that appeals to many. Or maybe, like some people I know, you just like to go along for the ride on the water.

Fishing has also spawned many books and movies, in addition to the huge popularity of TV fishing shows. Type "fishing" in a DVD search on Amazon and you'll get over 800 titles... with topics ranging from beginning fly fishing to under water spear fishing with a few feature movies thrown into the mix.
