Garden statues in your rustic garden can be minimal or abundant, rustic or refined, and as whimsical or creative as you want.

If you are artistically inclined, you might make your own sculptures.

Forest finery

A few years ago I came up with a plan to take plaster molds of our family's faces and then create and fire clay masks to put on trees in the forest around our lodge. I haven't got around to doing that yet, so for Christmas this past year, my son bought me a bear's face to put on a tree. That's my first step... but I may make those masks yet.

How about wood carving? It might take some time to produce something like the bear sculpture pictured below, but you never know, you might discover a skill and a passion you didn't know you had! And if you have a chainsaw and a good eye, maybe you can produce a truly unique piece! A Google search for chainsaw sculpture turns up some interesting sites.
