Seriously, you just can't get into the right frame of relaxing without the ability to put your feet up.

If you're anything like us, your days at your cabin, lodge or cottage are busy with activities such as chopping wood, nature walks, canoeing, fishing, working on shop projects, gardening, quadding, outdoor games such as horseshoes with family and friends, preparing huge feasts... the range of activities is long and varied.

But the result is the need to relax at the end of the day! Cool spring and fall evenings cry out for sitting by a fire with a hot drink, while warm summer evenings might see you with a cool glass of lemonade, an herbal tea or a nightcap (Scotch anyone?).

The setting is the rustic living room, you're perhaps surrounded by several close friends, or maybe just your soul mate. Maybe you're reading bedtime stories to a grandchild or two on your lap.

You may be up late after the everyone else has gone to bed... you cherish the peaceful time to do some reading or make some notes in your diary.

Regardless of the scene or activity, as stated earlier, you need to be able to put your feet up. An ottoman with an upholstered top is the perfect resting place for you tired feet!
