Add some spice to your country kitchen and bathroom
With rustic cabinet hardware, you can really personalize your cabin or lodge. You can choose from a wide variety of materials and motifs. Motifs
If you want to build on a theme or just be fanciful, you can choose knobs and pulls that feature loons, paw prints, canoes, acorns, deer, bears, moose, pine cones, trees, squirrels, fish, and more. One of my favorites is a howling wolf drawer pull. Another very rustic look is antler cabinet pulls - either made from heavy cast resin with a natural looking antler finish, or real hand crafted antler hardware.
Materials
Knobs and pulls are available in a variety of finishes, including an array of "distressed" finishes that are perfect for cabin or lodge decor. Some you might consider are - Die cast "forged" hardware - in antique brass or old iron finish - has the appearance of having been forged.
- Steel plate - made from corroded steel - these pulls and knobs look very rustic
- Forged iron - has an aged appearance appropriate for a cabin or lodge
- Oil rubbed bronze - appears almost black, will create a nice contrast with wood
- Weathered bronze - darker brown/black with rich bronze colored highlights that add depth and richness
- Wooden knobs and pulls - available in oak, maple, cherry and pine
- Ceramic knobs - with various motifs - can be elegant but still rustic
